Do you know that some railroad crossings along Union Pacific's Los Angeles subdivision and Metrolink's Riverside Line in Riverside are equipped with wayside horns. The Brockton Avenue railroad crossing is one of them. Automated horns (a.k.a. "wayside horns") are a form of audible crossing signals, consisting of an electronic recording of a Leslie S3L horn sound and a flashing red "X" that tells trains not to blow their horns. They're used in railroad crossings located within the quiet zones.

So will it stay there until needed? Or will it be part of the extra services on weekends?
